Our King
Celebrating the birth of the King
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Joy to the World!!
All He did for us.
We are eternally grateful
Now, how can we ever live up to His model
Of true living and striving for justice?
Just to live in faith that some day
Freedom will ring
From every mountain top
Through every valley
We can honor this path
And the passage, and the way
May we open up together
In the One Heart
In fellowship borne of knowing the struggle
To Heaven
Heaven occurs in the mind when one opens to it
And the Mind is a reality-maker
What have our minds been doing?
A whole lot of taking on this and that
And copying a lot of non-sense
Paste that in the recycle bin.
We can pull over and stop
Under arrest!
And do our best to change
Out of the garb of the reality-taker
Get a new set of lenses
And refuse to play this crooked game any longer
We don’t need the bargaining chips
This high rolling casino is dishing out
In exchange for our attention and energy
We need our families of solidarities
Living in the real world
We don’t need the rush of betting our life savings
We need to rush to get better at saving lives
The game is tempting, entertaining, enticing;
Delicious moments of desire
This big game is now up
And the cards are on the table
We are better off folding. Giving up
And walking away disgusted
The good news is we can
Get a new set of clothes for free
There is a revolution in the Mind
Of caring, listening, sharing, and making
Preparing, fastening ourselves
To our common causes
Growing stronger in Love
And Languages of Reality-Makers
Our King is here
Watching, knowing
Investing faith from beyond
Into our struggles
Inspiring hope
For something much different
And that hope has been held up
For generations, manifesting the Dream
And knowing that is hopeful
In the face of what our current view bestows
Truths are better when unearthed.
It takes a while for the stench to dissipate
Our Dream
Is a living power source for change
Real change!
Not just sponsorship, funding, and sympathy…
I mean Hearts and Minds Awoken
Charged with the Living Spirit!!
What I am saying to you is “Wake Up!
We have a mission calling
And it’s bigger and broader
Than any one of us!”
Let our King step into our spirits
Awakening the power within
To shine our Love Light!
Activate.
We need him and we need each other
We need the healing, the humility
The raw truths of our collective relationships
To our collective needs
And in the raw power of truths unveiled
We can get up and take the charge
